My Curse Monger Build, is it any good?
its a aoe curser, with some serious energy issues
Spiteful Spirit - Dmg (cast on warriors)
Defile Enchantments - AoE dmg (cast on anyone in a group)
Shadow of Fear - Slow attack speeds (cast on anyone in a group)
Well or Weariness - Remove enchants in a group
Enfeebling Blood - Deliver weakness in a group
Opressive Gaze - Dmg a group, steal life if they are weakened
Optional - I was thinking echo, heart of shadow, or vipers defence
note: this is a pvE build
curses 12+1+3
soul reaping 9+1 ish
blood, whats left (only for oppressive gaze, dmg and steal)
it has horrible energy management, but against larger mobs it should get a boost from soul reaping
also, it has no healing, and so many offensive skills i am gonna guess youll never use em all, or kill all enemies before you have the chance to use them all. all skills are area dmg or condition, definatly made for support
can anyone who has run a similar curse build give some comments about this one? insult it all you want, i know its a crude build, i havent had a chance to run it as im usually MM or uwSS.

Optional slot - probably arcane echo to spread multiple SS
SoF - If you are trying to help a group, this is ok. If you are also casting SS on the same target, you are shooting yourself in the foot. For SS you'd be better off speeding up your enemy with Reckless Haste.
Well of Weariness - personally I think this one is eh... Parasitic Bond or Well of Blood might be better. If you go mes for arcane echo, maybe try epidemic or ether feast. If you go assassin, maybe try something like shadow refuge, caltrops, dark escape, etc

i ran this build pvp and it worked well
im actually a fan of SSing the monk, i have enough cover hexes that in a chaotic 12v12 i can get 2 on the monk before anyone can break it, and keep stacking them so the monk hurts himself to heal. i found most monks simply stop healing for 20 seconds. so no one gets healed, and everyone run to monk for "safety"
i ran it n/mo for mending and breeze.. couse i never rely on a monk 100%
used tactics like this to turn the tides, kurzick was down 100-200, then jump back in and won 500-400, kurz all the way baby
but if ran pve, i agree with you on sof countering SS, i threw it in as a just-in-case measure.. i didnt think of reckless haste, that a good idea. im not an epidemic fan because "ajacent" is just too damn close, but well of weariness vs parasitic bond.. bond probably wins, a good life gain can never be overlooked, and bond works great as long as you spam it around, so after 20 secs you have some major life gain

Heres a build that been good for millions of XP so far
Vampiric Gaze
SS
Desecrate Enchantments
Defile Enchantments
Life Syphon
Barbed Signet
Healing Breeze
Rebirth
Quite often I will ditch Heal Brz and put Reckless Haste in. Makes a cool Assasin shredder... the harder they work the more it hurts. And when ya get 2 SS's in (the other on another local target, say another Assasin for example) .. theyre screwed.
The spikes you can deliver are wonderful and you really make them pay for their enchantments.
If an interupption is needed I swap in Spinal Shivers .. usually losing the healing cos the vampiric skill help there
NOTE the GW1 only build is
This has been a trusty build for me for a LONG time
Vampiric Gaze
SS
Desecrate Enchantments
Parasitic Bond
Life Syphon
Barbed Signet
Healing Breeze
Rebirth
Thing is ... if i trust the team monks (I regularly play in Pugs... it CAN be fun!! honest!) I will change to Mes 2nd at which point things really get interesting .... altho I personally think that Echo is a waste of time and energy when there's far more you can do with that energy and time that will have a greater detrimental effect.
Attribute points are .....
12 Blood Sup Runed Chest Armor
0 Death
10 Soul reaping Yaaaaay Free Energy ... Duo with an MM and youre MADE!
16 Curses Sup Runed Headscar
3 Healing Prayers
Just my thoughts
9,684,499 - I have spent 672 of the 725 Skill points I have earned
NO FARMING needed just high quality play
Does that make me Elite? ... can I get into the Elite missions now please...?

What you are describing is Well of the Profane, which is death.

only 1 problem
only 1 problem, shadow of fear, this is nto a good skill to use if ur using SS, cas it jsut slows amoutn of dmg you dish out, instead use Wreckless haste, which makes them attak 25% faster and they miss like 40% of time or osmthing with 16 curses, also throw in Price of Failure, so they miss like 65% or 75% of time and take 32 more dmg on top of the 37 by SS every time they miss, this is just a personal favorite for melees, nother option is Insid, i use this combo on Pvp, quite often, and dumb ass wars never notice they are taking nearly 100 dmg every time they swing =P, hope that helped; really, ditch the Shadow of FEar

Necro Curse Build
Unfortunately I don't know anything about the Faction skills, so this build will not contain any skills found only in Factions.
SS
Enfeebling Blood
Insidious Parasite
Parasitic Bond
Suffering
Price of Failure
Well of Blood
Life Siphon
SS + Price of Failure will damage them each time they attack you. Enfeebling blood will weaken their attacks by a lot (must sacrifice 10% of max health). Insidious Parasite (cast on non-SS or adjacent to SS), this will give you some health each time they attack you. Parasitic Bond - good cover hex, minor health degeneration, excellent health recovery. Suffering (target and near by foes suffer -2 health regeneration), Well of Blood for additional healing as well as Life Siphon.
This will keep you somewhat healthy and cause damage as well.
Desecrate Enchantments - I never found a real use for this in PvE. Not enough monsters cast enchantments to make this worth wild for me to bring. For me, it takes too long to cast to do so little damge in an area that is not continuous.
Well of Weariness? Is this a Faction Skill? Ka RaTae said its really called Well of Profane. If thats the case, then again, I don't run into enough monsters that have enchantments on them to make spells like this worth while. Well of Suffering is better. It is a skill from Death Magic, but it still helps.
I agree with shoot n loot regarding Shadow of Fear. Cast SS+Enfeebling Blood+Insidious Parasite+Recklass Haste (this is the only spell I continue to hear about - my understanding is it makes enemy attack you faster). So, you gain more health, get them to do more damage in less time.
Replace Shadow of Fear with Mark of Pain (if you do physical damage).
Hope this helps.
